Birdland Park & Gardens will once again be the place to flock this October half term as it welcomes families for its popular Trick or Tweet Week, running from 25th October until 2nd November.

Keepers will be hiding a variety of creepy crawlies inside pumpkins to see how different species use their intellect and dexterity to forage for food. Visitors can enjoy a full schedule of daily talks where they can witness some of Birdland’s smartest residents showcase these foraging skills.

Head Keeper Alistair Keen explains: “Environmental enrichment provides stimulation for our birds and encourages them to use natural behaviours to solve challenges. By hiding food such as crickets or locust inside pumpkins, it means the birds have to forage to get to their food.”

From the woodland paths to the aviaries, visitors will be invited to join in with a fun-filled family Halloween Trail whilst keeping an eye out for feathered friends along the way.

Trick or Tweet Week is included in the standard admission price, making it the perfect way for families to enjoy the half term with a mix of outdoor adventure, wildlife discovery and a hint of Halloween spirit in the heart of the Cotswolds.
