Lovers of our flippered friends can get hands-on here at Birdland Park and Gardens with the Feed the Penguins experience.

Help our expert keepers feed Birdland’s much-loved penguin residents including England’s only breeding group of King Penguins and the comical characters that are the Humboldt Penguins. You’ll also get to go behind the scenes and help the staff prepare for the feeding display which takes place daily at 3:00 pm.

As well as taking part in the experience you’ll also receive a certificate to certify you have fed our beaked buddies to take home and free entry to the park throughout the day of your experience.

A Feed the Penguins experience makes for a memorable gift experience that delights everyone who takes part ensuring a cherished Christmas or birthday gift.

Here’s what a Feed the Penguins experience encompasses:

• Help feed our two species of penguins living here at Birdland, the King and the Humboldt Penguins in the daily feeding display at which takes place at 3.00 pm.
• Stand alongside our expert keeper as they give a fascinating insight into their characters and lives during their presentation.
• Learn about the diets of each species of penguin including how King penguins enjoy a diet of Herring whilst the smaller Humboldts are fed Sprats.
• Gain an understanding of how the conservation and care of our penguin residents means both species need additional vitamin and mineral supplements in the form of tablets placed inside the fish to help keep them healthy and happy.

The Feed the penguins experience costs £75.00 and includes entry to Birdland Park and Gardens.*
