Experiences

You can get hands-on here at the Bourton-on-the-Water wildlife attraction with the experiences on offer.

Get a taste for the life of a Birdland Keeper, gift a memorable experience like a penguin feeding or even adopt a bird of your own and watch your feathered friend flourish over the years here at Birdland Park and Gardens.

For bird lovers give them a gift to cherish and memories that will last forever with Penguin Feeding Experiences. Your loved one will be able to take part in a feeding display with one of our expert keepers and interact with England’s only breeding group of king penguins and the loveable humboldts. You can even see them now on the Live Penguin Cam!

Our passionate team of twitchers will be on hand to ensure you learn the most about our inhabitants. Whether you’re shadowing a member of staff during a Keeper for the Day experience and want to know what exactly happens behind the scenes or are interested in entering a career caring for exotic animals and would like to take part in our Volunteering Opportunities, there’s lots to learn here onsite.

Fans of our feathered residents also have the chance to Adopt a Bird and keep in touch with them year after year. Learn all about their species, where your new friend originated from and even get a special plaque in the park. This makes a wonderful gift for bird lovers young and old.

Finally, when your day at Birdland has come to an end and you’re sad to leave your new beaked buddies, you can Become a Member and return all year for free! Joining the Birdland community makes for some lovely time spent outdoors, getting to meet the latest residents and even becoming a local in the Flamingo Point Café.

Find out more about our experiences by selecting each here; Feed the Penguins, Keeper for a Day, Adopt a Bird, Annual Membership and Volunteering Opportunities. If you’d like to talk to one of our keepers to discuss any of the experiences just get in touch via email at info@birdland.co.uk.
