Greater Flamingo on the River Severn

One of our Juvenile Greater Flamingo has been sighted on the River Severn close to WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre.
The young female, identified by her green leg ring ‘LHH’, recently took flight from Birdland Park and Gardens and has become separated from our flamingo flock.
We are working closely with our colleagues at WWT Slimbridge to monitor her movements. She currently appears healthy and is coping well in her surroundings, with no indication that she is causing a disturbance to other birds.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide further updates on this page.
