Trick or Tweet Week 2026
Birdland Park & Gardens is getting ready to welcome families for a spooktacular October half term as its popular Trick or Tweet Week returns from 17th October until 2nd November, with plenty of Halloween-themed fun for the whole family to enjoy.
And this year, there’s an extra reason for families to visit, with their Kids go free with a paying adult offer during the October half-term. It’s the perfect chance to get the children outdoors, discover more about Birdland’s amazing residents and enjoy some Halloween-themed fun without breaking the bank.
Visitors can expect to see some of Birdland’s cleverest residents putting their natural foraging skills to the test, as keepers hide creepy crawlies and tasty treats inside pumpkins. The birds will have to use their intelligence, dexterity and natural behaviours to work out how to reach their food.
Head Keeper Alistair Keen explains: “Environmental enrichment provides stimulation for our birds and encourages them to use natural behaviours to solve challenges. By hiding food such as crickets or locusts inside pumpkins, the birds have to forage to get to their food, providing both physical and mental stimulation.”
Alongside the seasonal enrichment, families can enjoy a fun-filled Halloween Trail,to solve as they explore Birdland’s woodland paths, gardens and aviaries. There’ll be plenty of feathered friends to spot along the way, making it a great opportunity to combine Halloween fun with wildlife discovery.
Trick or Tweet Week activities are included with standard admission, making Birdland the perfect family day out this October half term, with a mix of outdoor adventure, wildlife encounters and just the right amount of Halloween spirit in the heart of the Cotswolds.
