Take on the Jurassic Journey for International Dinosaur Day

Jurassic Journey at Birdland Park & Gardens

Calling all intrepid explorers and budding paleontologists! Get ready to set out on an expedition through the Jurassic Journey this international Dinosaur Day (21st May) and see what creatures you might discover.

Track prehistoric residents like the Brachiosaurus, Spinosaurus, Postosuchus, and Velociraptors in the Jurassic Journey trail using footprints left behind, then listen to what the fearsome dinosaurs may have sounded like. You’ll also be able to spot giant dinosaur eggs as well as complete dinosaur skeletons on your adventure.

Along the trail young fossil fanatics will be able to have a go at searching for prehistoric remains in the Dino Dig where there will be activity tables to learn more about dinosaurs you uncover. What fossils will you unearth in the sand?

Whilst the Jurassic Journey is an exciting addition to Birdland it also serves as a reminder that today’s bird species are directly descended from the dinosaurs that once roamed the Cotswolds more than 65 million years ago…

As well as the Jurassic Journey at Birdland you’ll be able to explore the new Out of Africa area and catch all of the feeding times which take place daily. Find out what times they are here.
