It’s Dino Weekend this May Bank Holiday!
Intrepid dinosaur hunters and budding palaeontologists are invited to enjoy a weekend of prehistoric fun and adventure here at Birdland over the May Bank Holiday (1st – 3rd May).
Travel back 65 million years to when dinosaurs roamed the Cotswolds and discover the Jurassic Journey at Birdland Park & Gardens, in Bourton-on-the-Water.
Come face to face with more than 30 different prehistoric species. You’ll also get a special Dino-Quiz Trail to complete as you venture into Jurassic Journey, using the information you find on your adventure to decipher the clues and complete the trail.
You’ll need to look out for Brachiosaurus, Spinosaurus, Postosuchus, Velociraptor and a group of Dilophosaurus.
As well as the Jurassic Journey and Dino Weekend fun, there will also be all of the usual residents of Birdland ready to greet visitors. Meet England’s only breeding group of King Penguins and the comical Humboldts. Explore the Out of Africa area and meet hornbills, village weavers and many more amazing birds from across the continent. Plus discover the new Parliament of Owls display.
