The Snowy Owl is a large white species of owl. The males are almost completely white, however, the females have black flecks. Juveniles have black feathers until they mature and turn white.  They tend to live around 10 years in the wild. A female Snowy Owl can lay a clutch of 3 – 11 at one time.

Diet: Lemmings, rabbits, rodents and fish.

Distribution: They are native to the Arctic regions of North America.
