Things to do for October Half Term
This October half term (25th October – 2nd November) there are plenty of things to do at Birdland to get your imagination flying in our special Halloween-themed ‘Myths and Legends’ event.
From Ancient Egypt to Alfred Hitchcock, birds have always held a spooky fascination spawning many myths and legends down through the centuries.
Discover why owls are considered to be so wise and where the legend of the phoenix came from in a series of fun talks at the renowned Bourton-on-the-Water attraction. Come face to face with the ‘Undertaker Bird’ and find out which bird’s call the Roman’s believed meant imminent death!
There will be quiz trails to follow and close encounter sessions too! Our talks and feeding times are below.
11am – Penguin talk
11.30am – flamingo feed (greater flamingos)
12-1pm & 2-3pm – Meet a Keeper
2.30pm – Penguin feed
3.15pm – Pelican feed
